Depending on the type of art you want, commissioning is pretty simple.  As of now, I don't have any online forms set in place, but that will come soon.

I can draw just about anything you want - color or B&W - and my range of airbrushing grows everyday.  The process is simple.

For portraiture (pencil or paint):
short version...
1.  You tell me what you want.
2.  You tell me how big you want it.
3.  You provide me with a reference photograph via snail mail or email.
4.  We agree on a price - you pay 50% up front.
5.  I draw or paint your piece and either arrange for hand-to-hand delivery or mail delivery.

long version...
1.  You explain to me what your idea is that you want me to paint or draw.  Many times you might have a basic idea, but aren't exactly sure what you want the final product to be or how to put it into words.  Here's where I step in and help develop your idea into something you're happy with and in some cases, use some concept sketches.

2.  Visit the Pricing page and see the many sizes I can offer.  Those are standard sizes and there is no problem creating a custom size for you.  One thing to keep in mind about sizes is the cost of framing.  With standard sizes, you should have no problem finding a frame...unique sizes call for unique frames which might cost more.

3.  This is probably the most important step.  I need a *clear closeup* picture of what you want me to draw if you're providing a reference photograph.  If you need to, take a new photograph.  The level of detail in your portrait depends on the level of detail you provide me in the photograph.  If your daughter has dimples, you need to provide a photograph that shows this.  If I'm drawing a face, please do not send me a photograph of that person waaaaay in the background.  Many of today's cameras have a macro setting.  This is the best in getting detail.  If you're taking your own digital photograph, please remember that digital cameras of a split second delay from the time you click the button until the camera processes the information.  So if you're taking the digital photograph, steady the camera on your subject, press the button when you're ready and hold it there for about a second after you've clicked the button.  You'll get a far better picture.  Once you have the picture you want me to draw, email it or snail mail it.  It would be better if you scanned any original drawings.  If you can't, that's okay, I'll take care of them like my own.  Clear.  Closeup.

4.  Based on what you're asking for, we'll negotiate a price and then you send me a check, pay cash, or pay through paypal 50% of the negotiated price before I start work.  The other 50% is due on delivery.

5.  At your request, I can take snap shots at certain intervals to show you how your piece is coming along.  This allows you to locate minor details that you might want to change.  And I mean *minor*.  Graphite and charcoal stick well to bristol paper and it's hard to erase once it's on there.  After your piece is done, we'll arrange to either meet and deliver or I can mail it to you (you pay shipping and handling).

Airbrushing:
short version...
1.  You tell me what you want.
2.  You tell me what I'm painting on.
3.  We negotiate a price - you pay 50% up front.
4.  I do the painting - you show off your new artwork.

long version...
1.  You explain to me what your idea is that you want me to paint.  Many times you might have a basic idea, but aren't exactly sure what you want the final product to be or how to put it into words.  Here's where I step in and help develop your idea into something you're happy with and in some cases, use some concept sketches.

2.  You tell me what I'm painting on.  This can be anything...motorcycles, cars, walls, ceilings, computer cases, golf club heads, pool lining...if paint will stick to it, I can paint it.  In these cases, we arrange to meet so that I can see the surface.  For automotive, currently I work out of a shop in Dalmatia Pennsylvania at O.E. Auto Body.  Steve Oakes is the shop owner.  For wall murals and anything else, me seeing what I'm painting on will give me a better idea as to the difficulty and perhaps spark some inspiration to give you the best artwork.  Please keep in mind the wall prep work such as hole repair, primer, trim removal, etc. are additional costs, so if you can do that work yourself, you'll save yourself some money.

3.  Based on what you're asking for, we'll negotiate a price and then you send me a check, pay cash, or pay through paypal 50% of the negotiated price before I start work.  The other 50% is due on delivery.
